In 1998, Roumen came to Canada. He first moved to Sherbrooke, Quebec, then later came to The Hammer - where Marina was born and raised. They shared mutual friends, and were often seen at many of the same cool hang-outs! When Marina started working at Lakeland Bistro (on the beach strip), Roumen was found sitting on the patio EVERY morning having kafa with Zoka. They all became close friends, and started running the place together! The waitresses kept telling Marina that Roumen was interested in her, but that was just gossip - until one day, he told her that he had been interested in her for quite some time now. She realized she felt the same way when he didn`t show up one morning - and she found herself looking around the corner for him ALL day long. Upon his return, they shared many slow dances in the `employees only` area...and the rest is history! After 5 years of dating, Roumen finally popped the question at The Black Sea in Bulgaria on June 20th, 2012 - and of course, Marina said yes!
